We were so excited to celebrate Sophie’s second birthday with her and twenty of her little friends! The event transformed this family’s Los Angeles home into a Disney inspired party for the afternoon!
Sophie’s Magical Trip on her Disney Adventure
Growing up in the Los Angeles area of southern California, every little girl loves Minnie and all things Disneyland. For this sweet little girl, the room was decorated in pink and gold, and the table centerpieces were generous bouquets of pink roses. A magical trip to Disneyland need only be a few sweet steps away from the comfort of their home!
Sophie’s mom, Erica Tucker of Sweet E’s Bake Shop, provided gold mouse ears for all of the young guests, and we drew little mouse faces on each one as they arrived. How fun!
Showing Off their New-Found Skills
For the occasion, the Funky Divas & Dudes staff provided every aspect of the entertainment. To stay with the theme, our instructors wore pink Minnie Mouse outfits and sweet Minnie ears. We center our themed parties around teaching the children a dance routine from start to finish, and then have them show off their newly found skills and amazing personalities for family and friends. This always goes off without a hitch. For this party, we danced to “Shake It Off” complete with pink pom-pom props! The kids had an amazing time and it was so much fun to see them laugh and smile!
Fun and Games Galore
The afternoon was rounded out as Funky Divas & Dudes led the children in many other preschool dance games, including parachute, Beanie Baby boogie, and plenty of fun popping bubbles! As the party started to wind down, we ended with a round of freeze dance (a crowd favorite).
All the children left with lots of fun memories as well as prizes such as glitter microphones, maracas, tinsel wands, disco ball necklaces. And, let’s not forget those spectacular gold mouse ears which are sure to come in handy during their next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
