Sophia celebrated her 5th birthday in serious style! It was a truly original theme created by Sophia herself- Michael Jackson, unicorns, and Minions OH MY! It’s safe to say that Sophia had the birthday party of a lifetime. The room was filled with fun activities all provided by us, and we couldn’t have been happier by how it turned out!
The Party of a Lifetime
To start the party off right, we had the girls choose glitter tattoos. They could select a Michael Jackson silhouette, rainbow unicorn, or both, why pick just one?! Then we styled them them up even more with cheek art and hair color by our very own unicorn (instructor came dressed up as a unicorn). The kids absolutely loved this, and it was so sweet to see them so full of excitement! Another favorite was the craft table where they were able to decorate a white MJ glove and a fun guitar cut out. Not to mention, the Funky Photo booth with custom backdrop and props – truly a MUST. We had a minion DJ making sure we were never short on cool tunes. Sophia even made a custom playlist of her fave songs.
The party really kicked off with a special guest performance by a Michael Jackson impersonator! Once the performance was completed, everyone got decked out in rockstar gear, complete with skirts, shirts, sequin hats, netted gloves, leg warmers, scarves, and necklaces. We filmed an amazing music video with Sophia, Michael Jackson, the unicorn, DJ Minion, and 30 of her friends to Thriller! The video was edited and sent to Sophia to share with her friends and family. The kids loved making the music video, and we are so happy to provide such a fun and memorable activity for Sophia and her friends! They will love to look back and reminisce on such fun times.
Sweet Touches to the Perfect Party
Afterwards, we played the donut game, where donuts are tied in a line to a poll and the kids have to keep their hands behind their back and race to see who can eat the whole thing the fastest! It’s not a party without some sugar right?! Speaking of sugar, the room was covered with plates of donuts, cupcakes, and not one but THREE beautiful cakes. You could actually smell the sweet vanilla flavor in the room. A family friend sang a touching “Happy Birthday” and then everyone rocked out to our signature Rockstar Freeze Dance with giveaways (tinsel wands, star clackers, disco ball necklaces, and glitter microphones).
All in all, it’s safe to say that Sophia’s birthday party was a complete success! Our extremely talented photographer Alex Richardson of Love Tribe Weddings was there to capture every wonderful moment. There was no detail missed! The amazing decor was provided by Teak and Lace, an LA based boutique children’s rental company.
Guests left full, happy, and totally partied out with lots of mementos to remember the occasion. Between Michael Jackson, unicorns, Minions, the photo booth pictures, crafts, giveaways, music video, and sugar rush…this is a party that no one will soon forget.
