This was the 10th year that Funky Divas and Dudes had the pleasure of providing entertainment for the The Sherman Oaks Nursery School Night Owls PJ Party. The school parking lot and school yard are transformed in to a block party style event. They bring in food trucks, music and family fun for their annual fundraiser. This year, the theme was Night Owls, so, everyone came dressed in their favorite pair of pajamas. This included our instructors!
Partying the Night Away
We started with our signature cheek art. We had kids with all kinds of fun shapes; hearts, stars, peace signs and skull & crossbones. Next, everyone played with our awesome parachute. This never fails to be a big hit. We followed this up with a giant game of Huggie Bear. After everyone was nice and warmed up, we moved into teaching them a dance routine to Usher’s, “DJ Got Us Falling in Love”. They did a small performance of their routine for the parents.
The fun continued with rounds of Pass the Present, While You Were Sleeping, a Pillow Sack Race, Limbo, and the biggest hit of all, Bubbles! During our final game, Rockstar Freeze Dance, we passed out maracas and tinsel wands for the kids to take home. This wonderful event is such a fun way to promote the school community and raise funds. Thank you The Sherman Oaks Nursery School for another fun year. We cannot wait to come back next year and are so happy to continue to be a part of this wonderful event.
