Moving on up – literally! We are so excited to announce we are expanding to Portland! After 17 years in the Los Angeles area, Funky Divas & Dudes is now up and running in beautiful Portland, Oregon. Co-Owner and Director Kelly and her family made the move late last year and brought the Funky Divas & Dudes fun with them. They’re excited to pump up the after-school routine through dance and enrichment activities for kids all across the bustling city!
We are currently running after school classes in select schools and will grow to many more for the new 2019-2020 school year. And our ever-popular signature Popstar, Princess, Music Video, and Fashion Show Parties will be available very soon, so stay tuned for booking info!
Funky Divas & Dudes developed an age-appropriate curriculum designed for children to have fun, learn basic dance techniques, explore expression through body movement, gain self-confidence, and overcome stage fright. We want to boost self-confidence through movement and dance that will carry over into all areas of life. We teach dance routines to kid-appropriate, beat-dropping music, and put on a performance at the end to show off their new moves (with awesome costumes, of course).
Our funky team consists of highly trained, experienced, and reliable instructors and staff. Each member has years of experience teaching dance to young children and are trained to teach our specific curriculum.
We believe our program truly enhances the lives of young children and that we are positive role models for them. As they gain confidence during these developmental years, they also learn to work well with others as they dance with a team.
We can’t wait to for Portland to experience the Funky Divas & Dudes lifestyle – once the kids pick up the moves, the fun starts spreading. Family members can’t help but join in, too. See ya on the dance floor, Portland!
